JD & Amy Shelton |
Thanks for stopping by our website! How did we get into this business? It's a long story, but here goes. JD's dad, James Shelton, started installing floor covering in the 1950s, and he taught JD the trade. JD specialized in tile, and we opened a tile showroom in 2009 at the former Gurneyburger (where we first met in the 80s). We went to a big tile trade show in FL and saw a laser engraver, and realized it would do more than just tile. The first laser was purchased in 2008, and Amy is the primary operator. The tile business outgrew that location, and we moved to the flooring store's current location at 1308 E Main St (just a few buildings away). The tile business grew and the laser business grew. In 2020, we sold the tile part of the business and moved the laser part back to 1418 E Main St.

Bobbi has been helping at her parents' business ever since she was old enough to hold a hammer. She was with her parents every step of the way while learning how to operate the lasers, and has attended many seminars and craft shows with them. She has a degree in Small Business Management, and has always been interested in graphics design. When the tile and laser businesses separated, she began working at the store full time.

We have two CO2 lasers, proud of the American made Universal Laser System lasers! The maximum work area is 32" x 18", and it will accept items that are 8" thick or less. And two MOPA Fiber lasers round out the lasers, adding the ability to mark metal.
